J. Hamrick (Rick) Gnann Jr.

J. Hamrick (Rick) Gnann, Jr. was born in Savannah, Georgia and attended local schools prior to earning his BA degree cum laude from Armstrong State College. He then received his Law Degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. Rick was admitted to the practice of law in 1977 joining the law firm of Michael J. Gannam in Savannah, the predecessor firm to Gannam, Gnann & Steinmetz, LLC.

 

While Rick has experience in a variety of legal fields his practice has become more specialized in the areas of probate and estate administration and litigation, and real estate title litigation. He has served as a mediator and is frequently called upon to serve as a court appointed Special Master. Rick has also served as a Judge Pro Tem in various Chatham County Courts and is the Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Pooler. His practice also includes the formation and representation of businesses, and general trial work.

 

Rick is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice in all State trial and appellate courts. He is a member of the bar of the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Georgia as well as the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of several civic organizations, and the Georgia Municipal Court Judge’s Council, having previously served as the 1st District representative to that body. He serves on the board of directors and is a former President of Riverview Health & Rehabilitation Center, Inc.
